Karma and Points

Karma and Points:

Karma and Points are two new features that ought to be explained. They both show up on your profile and posts. First one is Karma. Karma can be changed by anyone... I'll repeat, anyone. Other people can add or subtract your Karma. You start with 10. You can give someone a Karma point for anything, a thanks, an I think your cool, a That was a really cool post, etc. You can also "smite" people by taking away their Karma. This is mean so uh... yeah. You can give a person up to 5 Karma a day. It is technicaly possible to give them(/take away) more or to give(/take away?) your own but all are frowned upon.

Next is points! Points work in a similar way but are still very different. Points can be seen in the same way (profile and on your posts) but is only awarded by the admins. The max Karma you can have is 100 (when someone gets that high, I have plans. Good ones, don't worry.) The most points you can have is 999. You start with 10 karma but only 1 point. Points are only awarded by admins and you can't change them yourself. You get points for helping around the site. You get a point for every time you give our site's name to someone (but they have to be "BlogZone Material"). You get more if they actually show up. You can never loose points, unlike Karma. You get points for site recomendations to the admins (like what good additions could be made, etc.) If you say that you did something pointworthy, I'll believe you, don't abuse my trust. Also, you can PM me if you believe that I left something pointworthy off the list and recieve some points for that. They are pretty easy to come by in small ammounts. Lydia can also award points. If there's anything you've done so far that deserves recognition, tell me. From now on, gallery winners will also get points. Speaking of which.... *goes to grab tanner*

Karma is just how much you're liked, points are like a form of seniority... I might make a use for them later or make a top-posters rip off (top-pointers?)
