My Tree Poem

I feel like the crisp autumn leaf, (thanks ed)
To forever be tossed without a care.
As if it isn't bad enough,
To have lost my tree.
The one source that would nurture me,
Fallen from my grasp.
It won't let me back again,
I'm too afraid to ask.
People stomping over me,
Cars and tires too.
Forget this crumpled body here,
Look out, here comes the snow.
A little leaf,
Now cold as frost.
Will forever harden here,
It's game is long lost.
Unless a kid along the way,
Happens to stoop down.
And ponder for a slip second,
Why I have hit the ground.
And pick me up,
To take me back,
To a warm little home.
Rejoyce with me,
Their newfound leaf.
Forever surrounded in glee!
But sadly, I'm waiting,
All alone in the frost.
Looking up, looking up,
At the leaves in the tree.
Much more fouranate than me,
Wasting their time bickering,
Over who should be the king.
The wispy winds carry me away,
To a place with much less frost.
Where I can one day be the food,
Of an incect yet to grow.
It's a good feeling that even though,
My life is not as planned,
Someone, Someday,
Will give me another chance.
