Depends. Does "Salutations" count? Well, I'd need something semi-formal to replace hello in my dealings with adults. The dealings within earshot of my mother, that is.

If you just mean general greetings, I'd become a recluse or the like.

If you mean hello specifically, I don't see how much would change. I'd just make sure not to talk with adults with mom nearby.
